Goats’ cheese made with unpasteurised milk. Goats’ Milk, Cultures, Salt, Colouring: Vegetable coal, Rennet.
In the Sologne region, goat’s milk from the farm was used to make cheese for a long time for family consumption. It wasn’t until the 19th century that a farmer spoke about this cheese, related to the town of Selles-Sur-Cher at a market where all the cheeses from the Region were sold.

The best goat's cheese available outside of France. I buy this every week.

Okay to try out
Cheese looks odd but I was prepared for this after reading other reviews and seeing picture. Taste was acceptable, not strong, but it was very runny which I did not know beforehand.

Extraordinarily tasty
I'm not even a particularly great cheese lover, but this was so delicious I kept thinking about it between meals. Rather dense and very tasty so you don't need/want as much as you might think. I had it in salad with some beetroot. Yum.

Maybe I was unlucky
I bought several of these on the basis I love raw goat cheese and the reviews are good. However they were very under-ripe and even leaving them out for a day or two didn't help the situation. Golden Cross made in Sussex is much nicer in my experience.
