Prepare & Use
You Will Need.
450g (1lb) minced beef. 1 packet Schwartz Hot Chili con Carne Recipe Mix. 400g tin chopped tomatoes. 400g tin red kidney beans, drained and rinsed. 125ml (4fl oz) water.
Directions.
1. Brown the minced beef in a saucepan. Drain excess liquid.
2. Add the packet contents, tomatoes, kidney beans and water. Bring to the boil, stirring.
3. Cover and simmer gently for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Serve with boiled rice, soured cream and salsa.
Microwave.
Directions for 750W: Place minced beef in a microwaveable dish. Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 minutes, stirring once. Drain excess liquid. Stir in packet contents, tomatoes, kidney beans and water. Cover and cook on HIGH for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
HINTS & TIPS.
Why not try adding a small chopped onion and a diced red or green pepper to the mince at the start of cooking

Not for me
tried this following others reviews,and thought I'd take the lazy route did not like it will go back to making my own, tasted quite powdery

Don't waste time making your own
I've been using this for years and everyone always says my chilli is the best. I fry an extra onion first and sometimes add a splash more chilli powder, and I cook it for longer than suggested, but the result is always excellent.

Better than home made
I've tried and failed to match this chilli and I can't. It has a great balance of flavours and is nice and spicy. Simply delicious.

HOT HOT HOT!
A super hot mix, tasty, but you'll need to put the loo roll in the fridge overnight. The last time I tried it on top of some beers, the toilet ended up looking like a scaled down model of Mount Vesuvius erupting. A friend of mine tried some and his head actually caught alight!
