At stewed!... we've always specialised in combining wholesome handfuls of the most delicious ingredients... Right from the very start, in London farmers' markets, we brought rich, hearty and full bodied flavours together to remind everyone that one pot meals are the perfect marriage of sumptuous feast and culinary convenience.
We don't dabble in dainty, dull or 'hints of' ... Each and every tub overflows with great big chunks, intense flavours and a large helping of personality.
Our delicious one pot meals are based on traditional stew recipes. Each pot is well balanced with both protein and portions of veg. They’re free from gluten, artificial preservatives and flavourings and they make a great healthy lunch or easy dinner.
Why do stewed! pots taste so good?
Here at stewed! HQ, we make our meals in one big pot, allowing all the flavours to combine perfectly just like you would at home (except our pot's a bit bigger....!)
Because we cook everything together, and because we don't measure every ingredient individually by the milligram into each little tub (some people do, you know...), no two pots will ever be the same. But we like that! After all, variety is the spice of life!
Our work with Trees for Cities
In case you've not heard of Trees for Cities before, they plant trees as well as edible gardens and playgrounds in schools and local communities around the UK and internationally. Part of their work involves teaching children and adults about the origins of the food they eat.
We really love what they do so we've decided to help them where we can. We donate our one pot meals at their tree planting events, we're going into schools to teach children how to cook the food from their edible playgrounds and we're also getting the message out there by simply telling people like you about the wonderful work they do!

Who needs meat!
Being a canivore through and through this was the last of the stewed products I tried...I served with some lamb chops instead of veg & potatoes...this is really tasty, the smoky paprika and cumin really come through and it's not mush or slop like most veggie options. Now I'm happy to have as a lunch on its own...i can now be a veggie at least once a week!

Just like home cooking
This is my regular standby for veggie guests and they always rave about it....I'm afraid I've even pretended to have cooked it myself a couple of times! Imagine a wonderful warming Mediterranean stew with all the colours and tastes that you'd expect of Spain, Italy or Greece and you might be getting halfway to how yummy this is.

Stewed off
I was very disappointed in this. I was expecting something like the Innocent range, which has tasty fresh vegetables. However this seemed overcooked, and the little flavour I could detect was quite nasty. I wouldn't buy it again, and woudn't risk trying anything else from the same range.

Would not recommend.
I was really disapointed with this. It was not a stew at all, more a very thin soup with lots of vegtables and NO feta cheese at all in it. If you want a veggie pot then I would recommend you stick to the Innocent range.

A delicious veggie lunch!
I've previously tried and enjoyed the Stewed! meat-based stews, but as I'm currently trying to cut back on meat a little this looked a good choice. I ordered it during a cold spell, envisaging a hearty warming lunch, but as the weather has now improved a little I decided to take the option of eating it cold. This was a great idea, as the lovely North African tastes shone through. I love the taste of smoked paprika, and this was the dominant spice - heady and with a good kick. The sweet potato was beautifully cooked, in decent sized chunks, and the chickpeas made the dish a satisfyingly filling lunch. I was surprised to not taste (or see) the feta, but on re-reading the label saw that the stew contained 'melted feta', so I guess it's incorporated into the sauce. It's definitely one I'll be trying again, and I'd thoroughly recommend the 'eat cold' option!
