Fresh delicious long-lasting

I eat these every day in Bircher muesli that I soak overnight - they last for months and continue to be pleasantly firm to the bite - yummy and nutritious. Recommended.

good cupboard staple

Have been buying these for months and they have always arrive in good fresh condition. We toast them in a pan, sprinkle with a little salt and store in an airtight container in the cupboard - good for snacks and childrens' lunchboxes. The untoasted seeds are also good in bread (we use a breadmaker). I add up to 90g seeds per 440g flour.

Avoid!

They looked awful: many were yellow (going rancid) or odd gray colour, some had black marks, some just looked like they were very very old. NONE of them looked even remotely fresh (I was considering picking the best ones out, but it just wasn't worth it. I wouldn't give it to birds, let alone humans! They went straight into recycling bin.
