Prepare & Use
Cooking Instructions:
Grill:
Preheat grill. Remove all packaging. Place mackerel on a lightly greased foil before placing under a medium grill for 4-6 minutes. Turn halfway through cooking. Heat until thoroughly cooked.
Pan Fry:
Remove all packaging. Heat 1tsp oil in a frying pan, cook mackerel over a medium heat for 4-6 minutes. Turn halfway through cooking. Heat until thoroughly cooked.
Grill from Frozen:
Preheat grill. Remove all packaging. Place mackerel on a lightly gresed foil before placing under a medium grill for 15-16 minutes. Turn halfway through cooking. Heat until thoroughly cooked

Really useful
Really handy to have this in the freezer. Good quality, wolfed down by 18 month old and 5 year old with pesto mash. No more need to throw away mackerel fillets bought fresh after you've forgotten to cook them within 24 hours of purchase.

Just read the comment about defrosting these; I'm sure the 'Food Police' will be tutting at my actions, but I never defrost these. Simply place under a hot grill, skin side up, until cooked. I'm still here to tell the tale. Great product.

Small bits of bones +++
Perhaps I got a bad batch, but these fish were full of pieces of bone. Impossible to remove as they were in pieces and embedded in the fish flesh. There were also scales left on the skin. Tasted fine - but every mouthful had to be preceeded by careful dissection. Never again. To me they seemed like a health hazard.

Convenient and tasty
This is so convenient to have in the freezer, lovely juicy tasty fish, better than some I have bought "fresh". You just have to remember to defrost them.

Great value
What I love about this mackerel is that you can grill it from frozen so it's an ideal fast food. It tastes delicious and is great value.
