Chicken breast in a crispy batter, served with sweet and sour sauce with pineapple and peppers.

Suitable for freezing on day of purchase. Use within one month. Defrost fully before use: do not refreeze once defrosted.

Prepare & Use

Oven Cook
Electric (190ºC): 15 mins
Fan (170ºC): 15 mins
Gas (gas mark 5): 15 mins
Preheat oven. Remove sleeve and peel back film over the chicken compartment. Remove the chicken pieces and place on a baking tray. Pierce film over the sauce compartment and place tray on the baking tray next to the chicken, and place in the centre of the oven. Remove from the oven on the tray and allow to stand for 2 minutes before serving.

Stir before serving. Do not reheat once cooled

Just not that good

Perhaps I'm spoilt when it comes to Chinese food as my local takeaway is very good. The sauce was quite nice but the chicken wasn't brilliant.

Enjoyed

Nice chicken pieces, crispy batter, and a takeaway style sweet and sour sauce. Such a shame theres no decent egg fried rice to go with it.

Not up to Waitrose standard

The batter in particular on this chicken is very disappointing. Think and chewy rather than light and crispy
