Excellent for diabetic Christmas Pud

Can't taste any difference from normal sugar after cooking. Have followed the same diabetic recipe for years and there is no difference between Tate and Lyle fruit sugar or another more expensive fructose brand that I have used in the past.

The sugar that changes its shape

...but sadly, not necessarily yours, unless you do as you would with normal sugar, and cut back on the amount you use. It's as Cliff says, for a good few months, this sugar has been horrible, and the size of granulated sugar, having for years been a fine sugar. this meant that it just didn't work as a sprinkling sugar for fruit or cereal, unless you wanted to crunch your way through a layer of it. I just purchased some more, and it's mysteriously reverted to its former size of sugar grains.I hope it stays the way it's always been this time.

Fruit sugar?????

Bought this product for years...then receive a shipment that looks and tastes just like ordinary granulated. Tate and Lyle say this is just change in sizing of the granules. I would beg to differ. It doean't even taste the same!!! Made me very cross and they didn't even offer to compensate my postage costs or apologise for the inconvenience/dissatisfaction. Don't waste your money!

Good substitute

This is a good substitute for ordinary sugar, for those who want to avoid it. Can be used for baking but you must reduce the temperature at which you bake (in my oven reducing by 20 degrees works) and give longer time to achieve a good result.

Chicken, Peanut, Sugar Snap and Basil Stir-Fry

Stir fries are really wonderful to get into making. They are quick and you can really up your intake of veggies without it seeming like a chore. I suggest getting all of the ingredients together first and then it takes about 10 minutes cooking to be on the plate. Chillies boost the metabolism and the lime and basil make it a flavour packed dinner. By Sophie Michell
