Store in a cool dry place.

Prepare & Use

Hob - From Ambient. Allow 60g of uncooked rice per person (approx. 1/2 cup) 1 measure dry rice: 2 measures water.
For best results we recommend you soak the rice in cold water from 30 minutes, then rinse in a sieve with cold water.
1. Take a large pan and add 2 measures of cold water to 1 measure of Basmati.
2. Bring to the boil, reduce to a low heat, cover and simmer for 10-12 mins until the water is absorbed. Avoid opening the lid or stirring the rice.
3. Remove from heat, stand covered for 5 mins.
4. Lightly fork through the grains before serving.
Alternatively rinse uncooked rice with cold water. Add to a large pan of boiling water, cook on medium heat for 10-12 mins. Drain well and stand for 3 mins. Lightly fork through the grains and serve.

Best rice you can eat

My regular diet growing up has always been rice. This is by far the best quality. I cheat though and use a rice cooker and it works every time. It is expensive per kg but I generally buy the 5kg or 10kg. Am only buying the 1kg on this occasion because of the special offer. My rice caddy normally holds 2.5kg.

Excellent rice

Recently I switched to normal long grain rice on the basis of cost, but found it tasteless and I needed to use more rice to produce the same amount when cooked. This basmati is excellent - you use less per portion and it actually tastes like proper rice!

As good as the skill of the chef

Having been used in the subcontinet with out fanfare, Basmati has become fotr the mass of th British popluous the most know rice. So much so expensive than other brands, but worth the money. However the skill n having a premium product is in the ability to cook it. SO if you are going to pay the premium price make sure you aquaint yourself wit how to cook it, else just get the Uncle Bens version or you will have wasted your money, as Bamati has become the buzz word, without the raising of education is how to wash and cook the rice,
