Prepare & Use

Heating Instructions:
Microwave: Tear / cut top of pouch open to 2 cm. Place upright in microwave and cook on full powder for 2 minutes. Take care when handling heated pouch. Tear open, tip out and fluff with a fork before serving.
Stir-Fry: Heat a little oil in a non-stick pan. Add contents of pouch and briskly stir-fry over a high heat for 3-4 minutes.

Excellent

Very nice taste. Goes well with a variety of dishes. Very easy to prepare. Like the previous reviewer said, the amount is a bit too small for two people. Luckily, I am not very big on rice, so I give some of mine to my husband. However, if two people really like rice, then one pack would not be enough.

very nice

Normally a bit of a purist about 'ready meal' type things, l have avoided these products. Bought this out of curiosity and found it very good, no nonsense cooking! Only problem was the quantity was a bit small for two people. Maybe two packs will be too much, however it is very nice!

Not the best flavour

This was ok but like a few of the flavoured ones have a slightly artifical taste. Safest bet is Plain Basmati, Brown Basmati, Pilau & Wholegrain Pilau - all excellent

The best of the Tilda batch

This is our favourite flavour of Tilda rice. It's incredibly easy to make 2 minutes in the microwave and yet taste much better than most ready-made rice. It's also incredibly versatile -- we use it for stir-frys and currys. We even mix different flavours together to make them spicier or milder, depending upon the meal. One packet makes a large one-person portion of cooked rice.

Beautifully subtle flavour

I have tried most of the flavours in Tilda's range of steamed rice and they are all excellent, but this is the best! It has a delicious, subtle flavour and goes especially well with chicken. I casseroled Ocado skin-on chicken thighs in concentrated orange juice and Teriyaki sauce, then lifted them out of the juices, removed the skin, dropped them into a stir-fry pan and broke them into smaller pieces, then finally added 2 packs of the Coconut and Lime Leaf Rice and heated it all together, turning over and over until heated through. This will easily feed three people (or two very hungry ones!).
