Prepare & Use
How to Use:
1. Ventilate the room well prior to use.
2. Vacuum the carpet before use.
3. Shake the Vanish container vigorously before each use to maximise product coverage.
4. Remove cap & treat an area of 0.8m² at a time, sprinkle evenly on the carpet following the guidelines below. Do not add water.
5. Using a soft bristle brush, immediately brush the powder thoroughly into the carpet. Continue to the next section.
6. Wait at least 20 minutes for the powder to dry. Meanwhile replace cap tightly & fit a new vacuum bag or empty the machine. Now vacuum the whole carpet thoroughly.
7. Occasionally you may find light patches after cleaning. The powder can bind to stain residues; remove the residues with a soft brush and vacuum again.

Degree of Soiling: Heavy - Area Cleaned 5m².
Use Advice:
- Test a hidden area of the carpet for colour fastness.
- Remove any spills prior to use and pre-treat with Vanish Oxi Action Carpet & Upholstery Powerspray. Wait until carpet dries before using Vanish Powerpowder.
- Check vacuum cleaner is working as per manufacturer's instructions.
- Rinse brush after use & allow to dry.
- Use only with dry vacuum systems. Do not use any machine treatment involving water.

Not great
Had realistic expectations in terms of its potential, but it did not really clean that well and it had a pungent aroma. Save your money and hire a carpet cleaner instead.

Had high hopes...
Sadly my expectations were not met. I used it on a synthetic cream carpet with general dirt build up hallway, high traffic area. It didn't make any noticeable difference, and I wouldn't use it again. It was strongly, almost chokingly, perfumed. Needless to say, it won't be in my basket again.

Simple and effective
This stuff really works very well. It works like a facepack for your carpet. You put it on reasonably thick and work it in with a brush I used a dishwashing brush. It says leave it for 20 minutes, but I found it worked much better left for a few hours to really dry. Then you hoover it up and it takes the dirt away with it. It's ideal if you are not able to empty the room completely for 24 hours to use a professional service. I just shoved the furniture in one direction, did that side in half a day, and then reversed the process. Will now do every room in the house.

product ok terrible lid
close tightly it says on bottle. Impossible on one I had where lid kept slipping

Beige carpet + 1 dog + adult that forgets to take off her motorbike boots = icky. I've tried a few different powder type products as I don't like putting any liquid on. This is the only one that has worked well. I don't use a washing up brush or the like to rub it in, just the kitchen floor brush, the rubber kind that you see in hairdressers. Works perfectly and easy on the knees. As someone else has said you get about 1 room per container. I get the stairs and landing done together from 1. It comes up brilliantly. It leaves a really fresh smell, but not nauseating. It's a must-have in my cupboard.
