Try another flavour!
Even though the pasteurised versions which are exported don't taste half as good as the water you actually get from a fresh coconut, at least you get some of the benefits. They are also more drinkable if associated with other flavours. However this one is really disgusting. Acai is a highly energetic fruit that is usually combined with other fruits to mask its bad taste. It shouldn't be a flavour enhancer! My favourite one so far is the passion fruit version.

tastes like Satan's spittle
whew. I would pretty much require a written guarantee from the purveyor of immortality before putting this ghastly swill to my lips again. It might well be full of free radicals and potassium but it tastes like crab water. Eeeeuuuwww.

Not as nice as the other flavours but still good
This is my least favourite of the Vita Coco flavours but I think that is a personal taste issue. It isn't as sweet or fruity tasting as the others and the acai has quite a distinctive flavour that is quite overpowering if it isn't your thing. That said, I would never describe it as 'undrinkable' as another reviewer put it, if you like coconut water or aren't sure I'd try the other flavours first to get used to the taste. This one is still good but just not as sweet as many people are used to and I think that can surprise people who aren't used to these natural tasting unsweetened drinks. I still drink it, it just isn't my first choice when I know I love the other flavours better but if the less sweet flavours of pomegranate and/or acai are your thing then you will probably love this.

Tastes like a waste product...
Verdict from our household: completely undrinkable - and nothing like the sweet water taste from young green coconuts.

Coco-nuts!
Surprised as I was, this has to be one of the most refreshing drinks I have ever drank! You can almost feel the electrolytes flooding your body and re-hyrdating you. I prefer the acai & pomegranate variety to the plain vita coco or the pinapple one, and I look forward to trying their new recipes. I hope Ocado look to smart pass this brand in future as it is prohibitively expensive compared to smoothies/juices etc. Try it, perhaps post-workout, and you may be pleasantly converted...
