Incredibly thankful to eat wholemeal bread again!
At last. Bread that tastes bread, not cake. For wholemeal bread that is a joy to eat with cheddar, or toasted, cooled and topped with a little butter and smoked salmon, this is it. I stopped eating wholemeal bread when it became too sweet. I have longed for a wholemeal sandwich with a good cheddar, and I am being totally honest in saying that before I found this bread the alternatives had become inedible. Before this, wholemeal was only fit for jam and such things as chocolate spread or honey. Other wholemeal brands with cheese? Nauseating. With cooked meat? Just wrong. Comparable to adding slices of rare steak to cherry sorbet, or smoked salmon inside a chocolate gateau. I really feel this to be a genuine comparison between the sweetness of other wholemeal and this. As for toast, I admit Im not generally a fan of wholemeal toast with butter alone, but if you like it crisp and particularly soft inside, try toasting some under a *really* hot grill - not toaster - from frozen.
Good taste
Full of flavour, healthy and good sized loaf.
Beware \- Contains Emulsifiers: E472e
I would buy this bread as I have tried it and enjoyed the taste until I found out that it contains Emulsifiers: E472e, which is terribly bad for you.
Good Bread. Get Over Palm Oil
I am so fed up with people going on about palm oil. I would like to know who has actually seen the so called harm of harvesting palm oil. As for E numbers this is the same false claim hype. They are basically different types of preservatives to keep bread fresh for longer. I would be more worried about air pollution, nicotine and alcohol which is full of sulphites. As for the bread I got it as a substitute for my usual M& S and I like it more. It makes good toast and yes it is a bit harder but I like this because it makes speading butter easier. The medium slice is misleading. Store bought bread is all the same.
Lovely bread
I’m not a great brown bread fan, but this has converted me. Fresh light and very tasty. It’s great for tasty sandwiches and toasts well. Now buy often.
Tasteless
This was substituted for our regular bread. Its full of e-numbers and preservatives and is tasteless.
