cheap and often difficult to split neatly...

...but I still buy them as they warm/ toast well

Crumbly and dry

Tried these instead of the Ocado brand large white pittas, but these ones don't match up at all. While the taste is okay, they're dry and very crumbly and brittle. They don't toast well, they just crisp up and burn and fall to pieces. Won't be buying again.

I think they're excellent!

These pitas last a long time if you store them in the fridge until you need them. I have never experienced mouldy pita. Even outside the fridge, they tend to last me a few days -- then again we eat them quickly. My kids like them out of the package or toasted. I like them lightly fried in a bit of oil, like a pancake on both sides, and then put some stir-fried chicken and peppers and mayo -- mmmmm! Moist and delicious! I can't complain about these at all. Oh yes, they also freeze well. I buy several packages and freeze all but two, which I put in the fridge. When I need to defrost, I just pop them into the fridge or on the counter. They retain texture and flavour perfectly.

Don't Last

These go mouldy quite quickly & don't puff up very well. Doesn't seem to be much consistency, I've had them when they seem fresh, used them straight away & they were great. Howver, I've had them delivered mouldy before the use by date too!

All the pittas had mould on them when I opened the packet a couple of days before its use by date
