Couldn`t Taste the Tomato

This tastes of brown sauce that`s coloured red - no hint of tomatoes at all. Very disappointed as I was hoping for a real tomatoey taste.

Full of wheat syrup

yes it's organic, but why use so little tomato and sweeten it with wheat syrup which gives it a strange flavour. Not even the kids would eat it,

The least tomoatoey tomato ketchup ever

Whole Earth have some amazing products but are hit and miss as some, like this one, are terrible. Whilst I admire that this product is organic and has no sugar, which is what attracted me to it in the first place, its main ingredients are water and wheat syrup. It only contains an embarrassing 18% tomato and doesn't taste very ketchup-like and is very vinegary. Now, if you're looking for a healthier ketchup than Heinz with no refined sugar then let me recommend the Biona one on this very site. It has 70% tomato and the sugar is raw and unrefined so isn't bad for you like refined sugar. The Biona ketchup is amazing and organic like this one but tastes so much better. it also tastes even better than Heinz. Alternatively there's the Stokes ketchup, which isn't organic, but again is very high in tomato content and much better than the Whole Earth one and contains only raw, unrefined sugar. Those are the 2 ketchups I buy and I highly recommend trying both. The Stokes is rather sweet and has a great, thick consistency but the Biona one is cheaper, organic and more like Heinz and my personal favourite I think.. This Whole Earth one is just oddly lacking in tomato and I still have an unopened bottle from when I hadn't discovered the Biona and Stokes. To be honest I can see it reaching way past its use by date and me throwing it out. It's just a very poor attempt at ketchup. Plus the unnecessary wheat syrup being the main ingredient makes it unsuitable for anyone avoiding gluten or wheat. Come on Whole Earth, you can do better than this!

Way too vinegary!

Please put less vinegar as it's almost impossible to taste anything!

Use more tomato and less vinegar please!

Have the people at Whole Earth changed the recipe? There is an imbalance in flavour and vinegar dominates. If they reduced the vinegar and increase the tomato and this would taste great.
