OK but not great

I'm not too bothered about it not being gutted having read the other reviews, I know it would come that way but it wasn't overly fresh. Once cooked, it was fine but it was not firm and bright eyed when I opened the bag just a few hours after it was delivered and did smelly fishy. It was ok but not one that I was choose if I was buying in store. Any why Ocado don't remove the head and gut it, I've no idea. Who wants the roe these days?! It even says something like 'prepared by Ocado for you' on the bag. No idea what preparation they've done!

Not cleaned

I made the mistake of assuming the fish would come cleaned and ready to cook! Fine once cleaned up, but I'd frozen it without checking so didn't make for a quick cooking time!

unprepared

Not cleaned. Eyes very sunken and almost black. Offensive smelling. I buy trout regularly with 'no preparation' but it arrives cleaned. Almost vomited on way to bin this fish.

Very fresh but unequal sizes

This mackerel was delicious, rubbed with ground cumin and seasoning. My only gripe is that twice I have ordered fresh fish from the service counter and twice I have received the fishy version of little and large! Come Ocado, please try and send fish of equal size. You will stop the fighting in our household over who gets the bigger fish!!!!!
