Not very nice at all really

We have bought these a few times to ensure we aren't just receiving a bad batch. But unfortunately they are consistently horrible. Very dry, not much taste and to be honest not as ultra fresh as you would like fish to be. Won't be buying again. Shame as this type of fish is meant to be very healthful. It would be good if Waitrose/Ocado stocked a better version.

Rabid dog needs home in Gloucestershire

The reason I would not recommend these superior Wild Alaskan Sockeye salmon fillets is because I am determined to keep this wonderful secret to myself. It tastes like my son's socks after being left to stagnate in his rooms for several years and when looking at it I am reminded of a particularly aromatic feather boa. It is perfectly adept to being eaten after being left in the fridge for several months so I am particularly impressed with its shelf life.

Beautiful

I always try to buy wild salmon as it is a massive difference to farmed one. I cannot fault this. Not too fatty with all the Omega fat goodness. I use this baked or fied for us and also for my daughter in a fish pie or fishcakes.

Perfect for Perricone!

I get these when they're on deal as the quality does actually put farmed salmon to shame. I never realised how fatty farmed salmon was until I tried cooking these without oil usually you can whack a fillet of salmon straight in the pan and it'll cook in it's own fat, but these are super lean. Truly delicious and such colour! You wouldn't believe the difference.

Lean Salmon

I find most salmon rather fatty in winter but these steaks are always lean. They are so lean we sometimes slice them to eat as sushi or sashimi and they are delicious. I agree with previous reviews that they do not freeze as well as many salmon steaks they tend to become dry if defrosted in the microwave but tend to do better if defrosted overnight in the fridge. Overall I would definitely recommend them.
