Never go by the picture on the box!! Fish was very disappointing and looked grey. Would not buy again.

tasty, good value on offer

If you're buying frozen fish, then presumably you don't expect gourmet. On that basis these are a great mid-week supper which is enjoyed by the whole family (from foodie parents through teens to fussy toddler), and doesn't break the bank when cooking for six. It's quickly on the table, with little fuss. Would get more stars for greater sustainability & less weird stuff in the batter, but really, at this price, I'm splitting hairs...

Really disappointing

Bought these as they were on offer but it was a total waste as they ended up in the bin. Very poor quality.

Not bad, but it's pollock

Young's brand this as "Fish" because it could contain pollock, haddock or basa. To find out which you have, you must look for the initial P, B or H printed on the side of the box. It's always P. I've looked at dozens of these boxes in all kinds of supermarkets and I've never seen one that isn't pollock. It's still a quality product, and the batter is excellent, but if like me you think pollock is well inferior to haddock, you might resent that bit of trickery from Young's. Don't you just hate it when these firms try to trick you?

I approve this fish.

I don't know about the others, but it's enough for me. And it's well nice compared to others. I want some more of this.
