Why we’re teaming up.

We’ve partnered with Future of Food to bring you the Ocado x Future of Food Edit. It’s our pick of the next generation of food and household brands that are encouraging a more sustainable ways of eating and living. We’ve done the vetting so you don’t have to, making it easier to find Future of Food-validated products.

And by putting our sustainability strategy into action, this partnership will help us reach our goal to source with integrity, promote healthy, sustainable diets and reduce waste.

What’s in the shop?

A hand-picked mix of products, all validated against a set of strict criteria. We’re covering responsible sourcing, food products with specific health credentials, and products that use upcycled ingredients or recyclable packaging.

How we select brands

To give you total confidence, we are working with the validation platform Provenance, who has independently validated products in the Future of Food Edit against our Responsible Sourcing and Waste as a Resource criteria - whilst our in-house nutritionist has verified the Food for Life criteria. Here’s what makes the cut:

  • Responsible Sourcing: We’re prioritising products aligned with selected certifications, for example the Sourcing Better Standard, including B Corp and Organic certifications — all validated by Provenance.
  • Food for Life: For food products, we’ve chosen non-HFSS (high fat, salt and sugar) products that contain fibre, are plant-based, or contribute towards your 5-a-day - these are all verified by our in-house nutritionist.
  • Waste as a Resource: We’re championing products that use at least 10% upcycled ingredients or widely recyclable packaging. These products are all independently validated by Provenance as fulfilling the criteria.

Wildfarmed

This brand is a community set up to try and prove that better farming leads to better food. They have built a movement that aims to restore soil, support nature and attempts to reshape the food system through their products.

Beyond Belief Brewing

This brand aims to produce drinks that deliver a positive impact in every can. Their unique recipe uses 50% surplus ingredients, which they say makes their beer more sustainable by reducing the need for land that's required to grow barley from seed.

Blanco Niño

This brand supplies some of the leading Mexican restaurants and chefs across Europe, their chips are made with traditional corn dough, plus all their packaging is widely recyclable.
