Vinification Details
From the 12th century until the 19th century the Abbey Himmerod had been practiced viticulture. During the existence of the monastery numerous lease agreements for the most famous vineyard location at the Mittelmosel had been signed. The wines for the new range "Edition Abtei Himmerod" had been chosen by the monks of the monastery. For them it was really important to keep the typical minerals of the soil and the character of the wine varieties in order to highlight the unique area of the Mosel.

Disappointed
Bought this expecting it to be really nice. On the nose it smells like boot leather. Chemically tasting. Really disappointed. Would not buy again

not top riesling
Not as sweet as I'd like a riesling to be. But good for the price

undrinkable
Had to abandon this one after tasting it: it was excessively sweet with none of the promised flavour interest. Very disappointing, indeed, in our view, undrinkable.

On the sweet side
I've never had a bad Riesling, and this one is no exception. It's on the sweet side though, very easy to drink. Good price when on offer.

Great Riesling
I love this, exactly what I had hoped for. I like my wine to be on the sweeter so this is perfect for me.
