Jersey Royal Potatoes
The famous Jersey Royal is grown by our committed group of island farmers, many of whom are fourth or fifth generation. Although modern technology is used where appropriate, our dedicated grows continue to use some of the most traditional methods that have developed over the last 125 years. Traditionally each Jersey Royal is planted by hand, with many from the steep south facing slopes (côtils) being harvested by hand too. A number of sandy fields still have seaweed (Vraic) spread on them to add nutrients to the soil and add to the flavour of the delicious Jersey Royal. This unique potato can only come from Jersey. It has a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) awarded in 1997, similar to other distinctive foods and drinks, such as Champagne.

jerseys !!!
Will jersey royals ever be the same as I remember - stick to the old ways of farming and bring back the jerseys I had as a child these are just like ordinary potatoes no unique flavour anymore
Mouldy, blotchy
Bought one bag and it was reasonably OK on day of purchase. Second bag: the smell of mould was awful! I washed and peeled them (in the hope of saving something), but the flesh was full of rotting splodges. In the bin they went. Terrible waste!
Disappointing
Very poor quality potatoes and some were the size of marbles.
Tasty
These actually taste like Jersey Royals. Lovely !
nice
These were lovely - boiled and tossed in butter. Nice flavour.
Mostly bad
Bought these as I really like jersey royals but these were not good quality at all. After cutting off all the bad bits there was hardly any potatoes left. Wouldn't recommend and won't be buying again
