Deliciously creamy Anchor butter with rapeseed oil. Simple really, but we could go on about it 'til the cows come home.

No palm oil
So many butter spreads have palm oil so I love that this one doesnt.
Really not impressed of late
The taste has changed recently, on toast you used to get a lovely salty flavour but it seems to have gone, put in Sweede and Mash and over French Beans.. the butter just seems not to be the same. Have reverted away from spreadable to the basic Anchor butter in the hope that hasn't changed.. will review that later.. clearly a new recipe, or was there a bungle where the unsalted butter found its way into the original spreadable.
best all round butter spread
Not quite as tasty as President but much easier to spread from the fridge and great buttery taste nonetheless
55% butter, 33% rapeseed oil, 12% water, 1% salt
As per the last review, there is so little butter in here now that it tastes like the margarine it has become. Dont waste your money - buy the real thing and put your butter dish somewhere that keeps it mostly spreadable on all but the feistiest days. Truly horrible. If you must buy spreadable, the Irish & French ones are your best bet (70-90% butter content)
Less and Less Butter
When I started using this I thought it was really good. It tasted like butter yet spread from the fridge and presumably was slightly lower in fat and calories than pure butter. BUT since I have been using it Anchor have twice reduced the amount of actual butter in this product until now it is barely more than half butter, but they still expect us to pay more for it. This is 'Shrinkflation' in action and I am afraid Anchor have now lost one customer.
There's no substitution for the real thing. I would never use another spread. We keep this in the pantry, and it doesn't seem to spoil and spreads perfectly.
