Anusol Soothing Relief Ointment

Anusol Soothing Relief Ointment contains added hydrocortisone to reduce inflammation and ease the discomfort of uncomplicated internal and external piles (haemorrhoids).

It also contains other active ingredients that calm irritation and soothe the itching associated with piles.

For anal application.

Directions: Adults (over 18 years): Topical use only. Thoroughly cleanse the affected area, dry, and apply ointment on a gauze dressing. Use sparingly at night, in the morning, and after each bowel movement up to 4 applications per day. For internal conditions use the rectal nozzle provided, remove the nozzle cap and clean the nozzle after each use. Do not use for longer than 7 consecutive days.

Anusol

Haemorrhoids, also known as piles, are swellings containing enlarged blood vessels found inside or around the bottom

In many cases, haemorrhoids don't cause symptoms and some people don't even realise they have them.

But when symptoms do occur, they may include:

•Itchiness, soreness and/or inflammation around the anus
•Bleeding when passing stool (the blood will be bright red)
•Mucous discharge after passing stool
•Discomfort or pain when going to the loo
•Feeling like the bowels need to be emptied even after going to the toilet
•A bulging or lumpy feeling just inside the back passage •A hard lump(s) protruding from the bottom
•Occasional sharp pains up the bottom A dragging sensation in the back passage.
