Bought these on offer as we like some of their other products. Glad we did - they are lovely. Some other reviews suggest pimping them up a bit - might give that a go next time!
Great but needs tweaking
Roasted as they come, they're pretty grim, like roasted new potatoes. Roasted in extra oil and potato seasoning (Schwartz, if you can find it), they are crispy and fluffy and just salty enough to be delicious.
We usually make our own roasties but when we are feeling lazy we get the Aunt Bessie roasties they are ok not as good as homemade. Unbeknown to me my husband picked these up from our local supermarket. We had these with our Sunday Roast I said Your homemade roast potatoes are lovely he said I didnt make these they are ready made! I was shocked they taste like the real thing. Goodbye Aunt Bessies, hello Bannister
Garlic and Rosemary ones are better
I really enjoyed the garlic and rosemary potatoes from Bannisters so I thought I would try these but they are very very average. Not awful but you're left feeling you could have done it yourself.
Had bannisters roasties but they were far better than these. Just go into a mess. Not nice.
Boiled Potatoes ?
No oil on them and skins still on, cooked in the oven came out like dry boiled potatoes. just peel your own, cheaper and nicer. A roast potato does not have skin on ?
