Banrock Station Shiraz Cabernet Boxed Red Wine has concentrated flavours of raspberry and plum and a hint of spice. Enjoy on its own, with beef stew or rich pasta dishes.

Large drop in ABV
Now only 11%, was 13 or 13.5. Means the wine is thinner and less full bodied. Shame, always loved it before
Box Wine. \- is this product worth it
I’m originally from South ‘Africa which is the home to some excellent wines. I don’t understand why the detractors are whining about the wine (excuse the pun). I’ve been fortunate enough to have tasted and critiqued some of the best wines in the world. Most of the people criticising this wine are not wine experts or maybe people who are not wine lovers and when you want a glass of wine that doesn’t taste like vinegar, give this a go. It’s a smooth and tasty wine and I highly recommend
Bought for cooking but very drinkable
I always keep a box for adding to stews, sauces etc. was surprisingly good and have drunk far worse from bottles. Definitely a worthwhile buy, excellent in boeuf bourginon, coq au vin and good in home made gravy.
Lovely
I bought this while it was on offer and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Will buy again.
Unpleasant
I ordered based on the good reviews and I like the JP Chenet Cabernet Syrah. It could be that I received an '0ff' box of wine, but it has a very strong chemical taste and really rather unpleasant. Will not be ordering again.
This is really not bad at all!
Dangerously quaffable of an evening
