History

Barón de Ley is a family winery founded in 1985 belonging to the D.O.Ca Rioja, a privileged area for the cultivation of vines and for the production of quality wines.
The winemaking philosophy is based on the vineyard as the main source of quality. Barón de Ley has more than 600 hectares of its own vineyards spread over different estates between Rioja Alta and Rioja Oriental, being one of the largest winegrowers in Rioja.

Vinification details

Manual harvesting to protect the integrity of the grapes. Direct pressing at low pressures without destemming so that the contact between must and skins is minimal and therefore there is little colour transfer. Fermentation in concrete tanks.
