Regional Information
Médoc is a region of Bordeaux, located on the left bank of the Gironde estuary, north of Bordeaux. The area also has pine forests and long sandy beaches. The Médoc's geography is ideal for wine growing, with its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean resulting in a mild climate in Winter and reasonably hot in Summer. The amount of gravel in the soil allows heat to be retained, encouraging ripening, and extensive root systems.

disappointing

Little nose and little flavour, I was attracted by the price as Medoc is my favourite wine but how disappointing it was. Has nothing to do with a real Medoc! Don't waste your money. A Rioja will taste better

corked and undrinkable

The cork disintegrated when we tried to open the bottle. We pushed the cork in and decanted the wine but it was not drinkable.

poor

Very poor at this price point. Little nose, weak fruit and no finish. Very disappointing. Proves the point don't buy supermarket wine on discount but but fairly priced wine from independents.

Poor

From opening this and seeing the state of the cork I was concerned. The nose was off and the initial taste was of unfinished fermentation. Sorry but not even worthy of the casserole dish.
