A Navy-Strength variation of Ableforth's award-winning Bathtub Gin. To produce this intense expression, the Ableforth's folks crack open every botanical before cold-compounding, letting the botanicals release more flavour. It's bottled at 57% ABV, or at Navy-Strength - this is a reference to the British Navy demanding gin to be bottled at 57% so that if any was spilled on gunpowder by accident, the gunpowder would still ignite!

Its origins oft misunderstood. Bathtub Gin takes its name from days of yore when cheaper, compounded gins would purportedly be topped off with water from a bathtub top (as the bottles were too tall to fit into a sink). Ironically, in our modern times, the production methods used in the creation of this superb gin are amongst the most expensive in the world. Naturally coloured by the botanicals, this technique lends a most curious tint to the liquid.

Back in 2011, Professor Cornelius Ampleforth fulfilled a lifelong ambition when he released his extraordinary Bathtub Gin. Not content with this highly successful experiment, he proceeded to lock himself back inside his laboratory and set about on all manner of additional, exciting projects! The result was an entire range of original and reimagined spirits inspired by by-gone eras and modern technology alike! Whether it’s cold-compounding or distillation under vacuum, the madcap professor does whatever it takes to produce the finest libations and retain the freshness of the wonderful botanicals he uses.

Ablefort's marvelous Bathtub Gin combines exotic botanicals such as juniper, coriander, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and the finest orange peel to deliver an unparallelled drinking experience.
