Soft stuff

Not in the least bit crunchy, as promised on the jar. Not much flavour either - disappointing.

Appalling. Dont buy!

Red cabbage should be crisp and crunchy on opening but this was soft so that after one helping I threw it away. I will stick to Garners which is expensive but good quality.

Poor quality and reduced quantity

A great disappointment. Firstly much of the product was liquid. Secondly the cabbage was pulpy without any bite, bearing no resemblance to the tang and crunchiness of real red cabbage. No trace of pickling spices.

The nicest red cabbage Ive ever had

Its quite tender so very easy to eat. Nice sweetness and not too vinegary. Really delicious with a stew. Well done, Baxters!

Good

Appreciate the Tip, from the Previous Reviewer, to rinse the Cabbage. Never entered my mind to do that. And at 81 years, l thought l knew most things. I am unable to eat anything Acidic, due to a Condition. So rinsing will hopefully help. Many Thanks.

Not as good as others on the market

First impression is that the cabbage was not generous but ratio was high on the vinegar so drained meant a lot less product. I usually use another brand and drain and soak briefly to add to salad on homemade kebabs. Soaking should remove most of the vinegar flavour but not all of it. This was insipid both in colour and flavour. Will get the other brand again from here on in. This was a big disappointment.
