Regional Information
This Beefsteak Club wine is made from selected parcels of Shiraz grapes grown on Terra Rosa soils in South Australia. A long and warm ripening season ensures optimum grape maturity and ripe fruit flavours, whilst cool nights maintain fruit elegance and freshness.

Pleasant wine

I was sent a free sample of this by Ocado in order to review. I normally choose a Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon if I am having red wine, but this was very pleasant. I drank it on its own over two sittings and it was nice enought for this purpose. It was strong at 14.5%, hence why I only drank half the bottle at a time, but it was very nice and I would purchase again.

Very berry

I got this as a free sample from Ocado. I’m a prolific red wine drinker but am not an expert on Shiraz. It was very berry like and it was nice and pleasant once you aired it for a bit.

Disappointing

I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. We are generally fond of Shiraz wines so happy to give this a go. Its very fruity, but lacks depth and smoothness with an unpleasant aftertaste. It didn't improve after being left to breathe and I didn't finish the glass. Disappointing as the Beefsteak Club Argentinian Reserve Malbec is lovely and a regular purchase. Would suggest spending a little more and buying that instead.

Good with a meal

I was given this as a free sample to try from Ocado. It was nice when paired with a meal, but I'm not sure it's a red wine I'd choose to sit and drink in the evening on it's own. I will be sticking to my usual Malbec for that option.
