A long grained, high starch rice from the Pavia, Novara and Vercelli provinces of Northern Italy. Unlike its counterpart Aborio, Carnaroli rice has a firmer texture which gaurantees an Al Dente bite in your risotto.

Its alive!

Ive bought this rice a few times. However, the last batch had numerous critters living in it. I realise this could have happened at any time of the product process, but it has put me off buying this brand now.

Perfect

I prefer carnaroli to arborio, and this is the best I've found. It always produces a great textured risotto.

….this or arborio, not sure I can tell difference! Have had super risottos with this

lovely

I like that it comes in 1kg bag. The rice cooks well and does not disappoint. Had a few lovely risottos each time it worked very well.

cooks well

excellent flavour and good texture. I find this cooks quicker than ordinary arborio. not sure why this should be.
