Doesn't ring my bell!!
Blended scotch is scotch is scotch - they're all much the same. But - why does Bells taste like bloody medicine? It has a funny aftertaste that's always there. I only buy this because it's the cheapest. Asda do their own for £15.75 per Litre - and it's great stuff. Shame Ocado can't do their own for a similar price. Okay - it's not a single malt - we know that, but I can only drink this with diet pepsi. On it's own? No thanks! Bought for price - NOT any other reason!
PERFECT BUDGET WHISKY
This is good whisky, great value when on offer, i can`t understand the negative reviews but i suppose it`s all down to personal taste, eg i purchased a bottle of Johnny Walker Double Black and thought it was very average.
Very underrated, apparently.
Some very harsh reviews from the previous customers. Nowadays, Bells is a very tasty blend which consistently scores over 90 percent in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible. And with good reason. I can only think that previous reviewers have memories of the rougher tasting versions from decades past. These days, it's a more than decent blended whisky at a good price. Impressive.
Warming with a nice catch in the throat on the way down. Nice neat or over ice and the heathens out there can add coke or ginger if they really must...
Far better available at or below the price
...e.g. Famous Grouse & Whyte and Mackay
