Verdejo
Tasting Notes
This wine is youthful and expressive with a perfect balance between freshness and fruit. Intense flavours of fennel and citrus fruits lead to a long, deep, complex, yet refreshing finish.
History
Verdejo is considered to be an ancient native grape variety and part of Spain's viticultural heritage. It was brought to Rueda by the Mozarabs who inhabited the peninsula at the time of the reconquest in the 11th century. Lately it has been recovered from pre-phylloxera vines that have survived in Rueda and are now more than one hundred years old.
Regional Information
Produced from the best Verdejo grapes grown in the heart of the D.O. Rueda, this wine demonstrates the potential of the ancient white Verdejo grape variety. It is youthful and expressive with a perfect balance between freshness and fruit.

Vinification Details
The philosophy when producing this wine is to respect the outstanding quality and character of the grape variety and soils. Beronia Rueda is a wine produced from two different harvests in the same vineyard; an early harvest with fermentation at high temperatures in order to achieve an explosion of aromas and notes of ripe stone fruits. Then a second later harvest fermented at lower temperatures looking for maturity and more concentration and complexity on the palate.
