terrible kimchi

Did not taste good at all - had strange weird taste(almost tomatoey?) and tasted synthetic! The kimchi seemed to be covered in thicker paste, which was off putting.

Great spice level

I'm new to kimchi and bought it based on price and pack size to try. It has become a regular purchase because the vegetables have a decent crunch, the fermentation is not too overwhelming and the heat level has a good hit. Great in sandwiches, stirred into pasta or stir fried with noodles or rice.

tastes weird

I normally buy the normal kimchi (bibigo) but it was out of stock on my local korean shop. I decided to give the vegetarian version a try. Never again. It does not taste the same. Even if its given for free I would just bin it.

Perfect for stir-fried kimchi

I find this kimchi perfect for stir-fry recipes. Stir-fried kimchi is sweeter, with a hint of umami, and less pungent in flavor than uncooked kimchi. Dont expect the sour taste of the fresh fermented version. This is different, but very tasty.
