This region is red-hot in terms of hype and is home to many of the Cape's most exciting winemakers. Here the dry-farmed vines produce tight crops of excellent-quality grapes. Billy Bosch Highwire Chenin Blanc is made from the finest dry-grown bush-vines. Winemaker Willie Stofberg harnesses this naturally formed nectar to create an enigmatic and characterful white with plenty of weight. Pear and orchard fruit leads on to a seamless citrus and mineral-laden finish. Simply ravishing.

The vineyards are trellised and average around 20 years of age. The soil is a mix of weathered shale and loose red soils and the climate here in Swartland is a dry Mediterranean one. Harvest here takes place at the end of January and is completed by mid-February.
