tasty and tough
I like these because they are not soft like some beef jerky. You have to have a good chew on them but this also brings out the nice flavours. dry tough flavoursome soft jerky makes me feel sick but you don't know what it's like until you open the bag.
Love the kick
These are nicely spicy in a way that British companies often shy away from. The chilli punch is delivered with an enjoyable beefy flavour. The jerky is on the drier side but this is to be expected (it isnt biltong). Just dont leave the packet on your shelf too long before enjoying - the texture is best while its fresh (perhaps the source of some of the negative reviews?) Only quibble is that the price seems high but in my opinion this is the best dried beef snack available on Ocado despite the misleadingly mediocre average score rating.
very chewy but on flavour
Nice and spicy flavour but very dry and just about edible. Such a shame
my favourite flavour!
This is my favourite flavour - so nice and spicy but you can still taste the meat.
Bad batch?
Last few packets I have bought have been awful, possibly a bad batch as they all had the same number, but too expensive to take a chance on.
Awful
The flavour was ok but the amount of (I’m guessing) connective tissue pushed me to throw away too many pieces after giving up trying to chew them. Yuch.
