This is a very good quality EVOO, but was too peppery and bitter for my taste (hence, taking 1 star off). If thats the flavor you love, go for it! I tried making pesto based on this and it turned out waaay to bitter, unfortunately. At the same time, was great with some sweet balsamic vinegar, so as long as you know the taste profile and use it in the right place, it works like magic!
Delicious olive oil. Such a good flavour. Been using it on its own as a dressing for salads and stir fries. It is expensive but worth it when replacing pre-made dressings etc
I threw a dinner party. I was looking forward to trying this oil as a dressing for a fennel salad. Before pouring it over the salad, I tased it. The flavour was offensive. I then asked three people at the dinner to confirm or deny the petrol flavour I tasted; they all confirmed the flavour.
