fantastic flavour to my red Thai curry
Healthier ingredients than others too! Would recommend
Nice when you use a lot of it but otherwise just imparts a weak not sweet flavour on foods. If youre buying/using make sure you double to triple the amount as you will just not taste it otherwise.
I like that it is 100% coconut and nothing but. Storing takes less space than canned coconut milk. Cutting and using the product is easy, melts quickly and it has a rich taste. Having found this product now I wouldnt want to go back to the canned version.
this is not liquid, but a hard block.
Love this. I cut the block in half and then melt it in boiling water to add to my curry. No nasties...just coconut and a far better taste than the canned stuff and as I only need half for a curry for 4 people, makes it good value. Recommend!!
Yes it's separated, just like any other brand of creamed coconut in blocks. But then you get lots of delicious ripe coconut and some coconut oil which is actually super-duper trendy and expensive on its own. Grate the coconut into your curries, or immerse the block in hot water to get a paste. Save the oil for baking or frying. Mix a bit of whipped cream, a bit of cream cheese, some warmed coconut paste and a little icing sugar and you have a cake icing worthy of the Great British Bake Off. Or simply break a piece off and let it slowly melt on your tongue. What chocolate craving?
