Tasty and surprisingly less calories than I thought with batter
Crispy fatty mush
These left massive pools of fat on the baking tray which didn't fill me with delicious thoughts. Yes the batter is crispy but the fish is mushy and tastes awful. I have given two stars for the crispy, though very fatty, batter which actually doesn't taste too processed.. But the fish is supposed to be the star and it is dreadful.
These have long been a staple in our home as they're so quick and versatile, and go with all sorts of other things. I much prefer batter to breadcrumbs on my fish, and the batter to cod ratio on these is good. I've knocked a star off due to cost - they've got so much more expensive over the last couple of years, I now only buy them if they're on special offer. (They used to be about £3.50.)
One of the better home battered fish I've tasted
It works really well with air fryer Not the best one but i can say its good for the price for sure
almost double the fat of other similar products
Always noticed a pool of grease in the baking tin- now I know why. Over 13% fat compared to Waitrose battered fish which has 7.7% wont be buying for my family again.
