So simple and tastes good and the kids eat it!
Not what they used to be
These used to be really nice, but the filling is now very mean, and they removed the pimento, which added a welcome piquancy. Even the pastry isn't as nice any more.
Shortcrust pastry not nearly as good anymore, bland. Filling is good, no gristle or fat.
My husband likes these
and have done so for years. He does seem to have never eaten the carrots in it though as I always find them left on the plate.
Oh no what happened?
Another classic ruined. What happened to these, they were the only thing that has stayed consistent since the 1970's, soft melting pastry, lovely savoury chicken and veg filling. Now the pastry is horrible like cardboard and the filling is non existent with no gravy. So fed up.
Good Value ....but -
These pies are tasty and ideal for someone with a small appetite. However, on both occasions I have ordered from Ocado, I have had to request a refund. The pastry had been smashed due to careless packing or transporting. Will give it one more go and hope its third time lucky!
