Made by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), Blason d'Aussières delivers a beautiful expression of the great terroirs of the Languedoc. This traditional Languedoc blend is made predominantly of Syrah, with Carignan, Mourvèdre and Grenache, whilst the cooler terroir of Aussières confers the wine its exceptional balance and finesse. It shows on the nose aromas of liquorice, strawberries, blackberries and chocolate. It is well balanced with a great concentration and smooth tannins.

The vineyard cover 167 hectares, in the foothills of Fontfroide.

Attractive garnet colour with purple highlights. The nose is generous and inviting. The palate opens with notes of black fruit, blackberry and blueberry, followed by a bouquet of garrigue dominated by notes of summer savoury, leading to subtle toasty and vanilla undertones. The finish extends with delicate fragrances of violets and liquorice
