Tastes like medicine
I don't get the 5 star reviews. It tastes odd, chemically and almost like medicinal. Quite horrible.
Its easy to use
This ones usually the cheapest but if the 30% less sugar Sharwoods is on offer would opt for that instead as nicer and healthier.
Staple cupboard item!
I love these stir fry sauce sachets. They are a staple in my cupboard for the days I just want to chuck a meal together. They taste delicious and I think the value is great.
Heavy on the ginger but low on the FODMAP
This sauce had way to much ginger for me to enjoy, it was the overpowering flavour and really didn't taste anything like any sweet & sour I'd had before, also, the portion size in these sachets is tiny, you need to use two per person to liberally cover the meal. On the plus side the sauce is low FODMAP which means that flavour starved IBS sufferers can branch out a little from the bland.
Really impressed
So this doesn't come with chunks of veg inside and you'll need to use two sachets but it's very tasty and very similar to sweet and sour from a chinese takeaway. I would advise to add peppers, onion and pineapple.
very tasty
The first time I used this, I made a note to water it down a bit as it was too thick The second time it was so thin, just like watery with nothing in it Very strange indeed!
