Bollinger PN TX20 is the latest PN (Pinot Noir) release by Bollinger. Each year and release is an expression of a different Cru that highlights the distinctive terroir and taste. The Blanc de Noirs is made from 100% Pinot Noir, designed to make terroir the star of the show. Tauxières, the dominant cru in the blend of this sixth edition of Bollinger PN, contributes to the wine’s singular character. Located in the Montagne de Reims, this exceptional terroir is ideally suited to growing Pinot Noir which, in Tauxières, brings freshness, elegance, precision, and complexity to the finished wine. Created using a majority of the 2020 base wine, the oldest wines in the blend are 2008 and 2012, which make up more than 35% of the blend - a first for the PN series. Aged for 4 years in cellar, the PN TX20 has a dosage of 8g/l. Each new edition of the Bollinger PN cuvée brings with it a singular and contemporary vision of the Maison’s terroir and expertise, acting as a symbol of the union between tradition and innovation. PN TX20 is perfect for passionate wine enthusiasts looking for different expressions of Pinot Noir Champagne. To highlight the Champagne's unique aromas and style, it is best served between 10 and 11 °C. It is cellar aged for twice as long as stipulated by the Appellation. It can be enjoyed now but would benefit from further evolution in cellar.

History
Founded in 1829 in Aÿ, Champagne Bollinger remains family-owned, renowned for their mastery of Pinot Noir, reserve magnums, and oak ageing techniques. The wines reflect both the terroir and expert blending. Committed to sustainability, Maison Bollinger is proud to have obtained B Corp certification, and they were the first Champagne House to be awarded the Haute Valeur Environmentale certification. In 1884, the House was the first in Champagne to be awarded a Royal Warrant, which it has held ever since.

Regional information
The House's 180ha are planted with 85% Grand and Premier Cru vines and is one of very few to produce the majority of their own grapes for their blends. Pinot Noir represents 60% of the House's vineyards. Bollinger also maintains two famous plots, the Clos Saint-Jacques and Chaudes Terres, which never succumbed to phylloxera and are used to create the famous Vieilles Vignes Françaises.
Tasting notes
The nose opens with scents of fresh citrus and lemon, followed by aromas of white stone fruits, peach and quince. The finish is enhanced by subtle mineral, flinty notes. Firstly on the Palate, notes of redcurrant and subtle freshness. Then comes beautiful richness, depth and vinosity with delicate touches of stewed fruits bringing extra complexity, all coming together in a lovely long finish

Vinification details
This 100% Pinot Noir (Blanc de Noirs) cuvée is designed to make terroir the star of the show. Each PN edition, combines the union of a base year (2019) with a blend of terroirs (the principal cru is Verzenay). Reserve wines bring new properties to light, revealing unexpected nuances and unique sensory expressions in a fresh demonstration of Bollinger's expertise and savoir-faire. The dosage is moderate, at 6 grams per litre. The wine is cellar aged for twice as long as the appellation requirements.
