not tasty at all...
Not for my taste buds
As a previous reviewer mentioned, the texture is chalky, breaking up into bits, not smooth or creamy. There is a strong taste of unusual tasting coconut and its sickly sweet. Ive had vegan ice cream before by Walls & Magnum so I thought at this price it must be good. I was wrong. This was recommended to me as a dairy free option for my ice cream cravings but I just think its awful. I wouldnt recommend and of course I wouldnt buy again in any other flavour.
lovely. best vegan frozen dessert there is.
As with their chocolates, boojabooja make the best non diary plant based sweet stuff there is. (Altho Moo Free make the best milk chocolate) Ive tried a lot of ice cream substitutes during the 20+ years that Ive been avoiding animal milk. Swedish Glace used to be my go to choice, (used to be the ONLY choice) until I noticed the fat content. Then along came Booja Booja. Again like with their chocolates, they were the first to develop a frozen dessert with minimal ingredients and a good balance of fat/sugar/protein. But what about the taste? I think this is the best of their flavours and compared to other brands its the best taste by far. My only quibble, and its a tiny quibble, is that it needs to be taken out of the freezer ten minutes or so before you intend to dig out a serving. Lovely stuff. My memories of milk based ice cream are hazy but Im pretty sure Id choose this even if I could eat animal milk.
Amazing ice cream, could not recommend more
sickly crumbly chalky yuck!
If this is what vegan ice cream is like Id rather go without! Have recently become vegan and I have a super sweet tooth so thought Id give this a try but its flavour is just super sweet and doesnt taste of much and it crumbles and is chalky...definitely not creamy ice cream. Wont be buying again!!!
Not as creamy as dairy ice creams in my opinion, but still one of the best dairy-free ice creams I've tried
