Product Information
Born Irish Whiskey is a whiskey spirit drink at its darkest. A celebration of Ireland's two greatest exports: Irish Whiskey and Stout.
We start with Irish Whiskey: our whiskey is born in the Great Northern Distillery, 50 miles north of Dublin in the city of Dundalk. Our blend of malt and grain Irish Whiskey is mellowed in deep-charred oak barrels for a smooth creamy taste. Next it is finished in Irish stout casks before it is naturally darkened with infusions of rich chocolate malt and roasted barley. Think of it as a unique tasting celebration of Ireland’s two greatest exports - Whiskey & Stout.
Our triple distilled blend is a balance of mellow single grain and deliciously rich triple distilled single malt Irish whiskey aged in deep charred bourbon and stout casks. Aged in alligator char ex-bourbon casks and finished in rich stout casks for the ultimate expression of colour and flavour . We make it dark with infusions of chocolate malt, roasted barley and vanilla. Our vanilla essence is pulled from natural vanillin oak extract - keeping it real. Our natural chocolate malt and roasted barley infusions intensify the bittersweet characteristics of stout and give Born Irish Whiskey all of its dark colour. The result - a rich, naturally dark whiskey that's as smooth as a pint of the black stuff.

Tasting notes
Aromas of sweet roasted malt, vanilla and rye bread, and just enough spice to keep things interesting. Take a sip and it all gets deliciously creamy — think brown sugar stirred into dark chocolate, a drizzle of caramel, and maybe a rogue piece of tropical fruit that snuck into the mix. It all wraps up with a bold finish: bitter cocoa, rich coffee, a splash of butterscotch, and of course, rich stout.
