Product Information
A marriage of Bowmore from hand-selected American oak ex-bourbon casks and European oak oloroso sherry casks.
The original Islay single malt, crafted with intent since 1779 to create an exceptionally expressive whisky.
Bowmore 18 year old is a beautifully aged Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky in full bloom, where creamy texture, baked butterscotch notes, and singed cocoa step forward against layers of our signature smoke and minerality. Its character comes from a marriage of whiskies aged for 18 years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and European oak oloroso sherry butts and puncheons. Our signature Bowmore distillery style shines brightly, bold and unexpectedly powerful, yet with a sweet clarity.
Care is taken to add distinct layers of flavour at every stage: every action is judged and considered, from the hand-turned malt, dried in peat-fired kilns, to our longer fermentation times and hand-selected casks.
Colour
Mellow Mahogany.
Aroma
Creamy caramel, toffee, ripe nectarines, butterscotch, menthol and fragrant peat smoke.
Palate
Floral, scented confectionery, giving way to fennel seeds, liquorice, dark chocolate, brittle honeycomb, maple syrup and juicy oranges.
Finish
Warm and complex, with a light smokiness like a fire rekindled on a bright morning.
Bowmore 18 Year Old single malt scotch whisky is exquisitely layered. The result of its maturation in hand-selected American oak ex-bourbon and European Oloroso sherry casks. Rare and remarkable.
Please drink responsibly: The UK Chief Medical Officers recommend adults do not regularly drink more than 14 units per week

Brand details
Welcome to Bowmore. Prepare to savour a perfected Islay single malt.
Crafted since 1779, our acclaimed Scotch whisky is renowned for a remarkably expressive signature style that ages into an ever-deeper, richer, and generously rewarding character.
Crafted with intent, Bowmore has an inherent appreciation as to how each moment comes to bear on the character of the whisky. We make our whiskies this way on purpose, shaping every drop, adding depth and distinction of flavour to shape our multidimensional single malt.
Though we proudly hold the distinction of being Islay's first distillery, our true measure is found in every bottle we craft today. We have woven our tale into the rich tapestry of this remarkable island, yet it is the ever-enchanting art of whisky making, and the lasting memories it creates, that continue to be our inspiration.
Founded in the storied year of 1779, Bowmore stands as the first licensed distillery on the enchanting island of Islay, Scotland. Here, centuries-old craftsmanship is lovingly intertwined with the island's singular maritime climate, giving rise to our legendary single malts. Our time-honored traditions, such as the meticulous art of floor malting and the patient aging in handpicked oak casks, creates whiskies that are a delicate dance of smoky, spicy notes with whispers of subtle sweetness.
Though we proudly bear the title of Islay's first distiller, our true measure is found in the quality of every bottle we create. We have woven our legacy into the very fabric of this remarkable island, yet it is the ever-enchanting craft of whisky making, and the unforgettable moments it inspires, that drives us forward. Evolving, always.
