Brancott Estate Flight Sauvignon Blanc 75cl

Product information

Brancott Estate Flight Sauvignon Blanc is a wine produced in Marlborough, New Zealand. Our knowledge of the Marlborough region has allowed our winemakers to select and harvest grapes earlier than usual to craft full-flavoured wines that are naturally lighter in alcohol than those in the Brancott Estate range. With fragrant passion fruit, lemons and grapefruit aromas on the nose. These aromas are followed by a sweet pungency and ripe lemon sherbet flavors that change to mangos. The palate shows great balance with a refreshing, crisp and lively acidity. A stunning, vibrant and refreshing low alcohol wine. Naturally 20% lower in alcohol and calories.

Award Winning Premium wine from Marlborough. Our story began over 40 years ago with a bold idea to plant vines in Marlborough, New Zealand. At the time, the South Island was considered too cold to grow grapes, but we challenged this thinking and planted the very first Sauvignon Blanc vines in Marlborough. It was this pioneering spirit that led to something spectacular; the distinctive and vibrant expression of Sauvignon Blanc now loved the world over.
Regional Information
This wine comes from Marlborough, New Zealand. Situated in the top north point of the soth island of NZ. Using grapes harvested earlier in the season and our winemaking expertise gained as the pioneers of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, we've created Brancott Estate Flight, wines that are full of taste and naturally lighter in alcohol.
Current Vintage
Vinification Details
To make this lighter wine we harvested specially selected blocks of fruit early, when full flavour ripeness at lower sugar levels were reached. The fruit was gently bag pressed and the clear juice fermented cool with aromatic yeast strains, in stainless steel tanks. This retained maximum varietal aroma. The wine was blended and filtered to be released soon after vintage with distinctive regional and varietal characters at peak.

good for a lower alcohol "lunch" wine!

Most low alcohol wines are horrific and wouldn't touch them, but whilst tasting in brancott estate, NZ, we had a taste and we were pleasantly surprised!!! It allows you to have an extra glass without the guilt and without compromising by drinking a disgusting glorified grape juice!! Great for lunch wine, or a sneaky weeknight date!

This is really unpleasant, more like vinegar and a great shame because it is a nice idea and the regular Brancott Estate is delicious.

This was absolutely awful! Very acidic unpleasant taste and even though it was lower alcohol gave myself and my husband a terrible headache the next morning. Would not recommend!

Not your normal NZ Sauvignon Blanc

As an avid hater of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, this is really lovely. No dominating 'fresh cut grass' or 'gooseberries', but a charming light easily drinkable wine.

Lower alcohol, light & easy-drinking wine

Light and refreshing sauvignon blanc with a slight tingle to the tongue. Certainly NOT Chardonnay as mentioned in an earlier review. A wine suitable for enjoying with a light lunch or on summer evening. It's not a full-bodied wine and it would be overpowered by strong dishes. The lower alcohol content has been appealing in an attempt to reduce calorie and alcohol intake without sacrificing the enjoyment of a glass of wine!
