great alternative to cocktails
just visited the Penderyn distillery and tasted this straight...wow! love the gin and now converted to these flavour distilled gins! they are not 'flavoured' and so smooth!
Lovely, but it doesn\x27t really taste like gin.
I was sent a bottle of this gin in exchange for this review. It comes in a very attractive bottle and it tastes beautifully fruity, and as such it would make a very acceptable gift, but it doesn't really taste like gin. It's a jolly tipple, but not with tonic.
Fathers Day Gift
Bought this as a Father’s Day gift. Dad said it was very nice, really pleased with it. They have polished off half the bottle already, think will need to buy them some more!
Different
Given this to review. My husband who doesn't normally like gin thought it was very interesting. I liked it but still prefer the original.
Great tasting Gin - Star Reviewer
Full marks from my partner who absolutely loved this. He normally drinks Brecon Botanical Gin but says he now prefers this. Taste is great and it mixes well with many types of tonic flavours. Well done Ocado!
bring on the Summer
I was sent this by Ocado to review. Flavoured gins always seem a little odd to me. Gin has such a dominant flavour that everything else is overpowered. Not a problem - I like the taste of juniper - but I tend to wonder why people bother. I'm always ready to give something a go though. First off - the colour is gorgeous. A straight G&T made with this was a wonderful Summery sight on a dull March evening. I could smell the rhubarb, but maybe taste the cranberry more. The fact that I could do either was a pleasant surprise. Can I see myself keeping this (and subsequent bottles) in the fridge for the Summer? Oh yes.
