Navarrico chickpeas are produced in Navarra, the garden of Northern Spain.
Conservas Artesanas El Navarrico was established by Hercules Amalia and Jose Salcedo in 1960. Their children and grandchildren now run the business. They process their fruit and vegetables amongst the fertile fields of the Ebro valley, where Navarra meets La Rioja.
These are premium chickpeas have a rich, nutty flavour and thin, tender skins. They are prepared with only water and a little salt - cooked in the same manner as the Spanish do at home. Healthy as well as delicious, they are a rich in protein and particularly high in dietary fibre.
Nutty and creamy, these chickpeas are a great store cupboard standby for mixed bean salads and vegetable stews.

Creamy and delicious!
Lovely texture and taste. The stock also tastes yummy. Really delicious straight out of the jar, in salads with a tahini dressing or in a curry.
So tasty and perfect for a quick salad
Just add a few peppers, tomatoes and onions and you have got a delicious salad in less than 5 min
The best chickpeas
I thought chickpeas were just chickpeas until I tried these. I can eat them straight out of the jar they have a slightly nutty taste. When theyre cooked they hold their shape and dont go mushy!
Jar is tightly packed
Amazingly soft and creamy and once I tried them there's no going back to tinned ones. Seems expensive but the jar is tightly packed so an endless supply!
love
These are the best chickpeas in the world. They are offensively expensive but worth every penny!
