Mild and delicate in flavour, Cornish hake has soft, tender flesh that firms up beautifully during cooking. Our hake is carefully prepared for easy cooking and eating. Every care is taken to remove bones, although the occasional small bone may remain.
Caught by gill net off the coast of Cornwall, hake is one of the jewels of the Cornish catch and a delicious local alternative to cod. Each pack contains two skin-on hake portions and two smoky garlic butter portions. Quick to cook and full of flavour – pan-fry for 5–8 minutes and enjoy.

Storage
Keep refrigerated below 5oC. Once opened consume within 24 hours. Suitable for freezing. Freeze on day of purchase and use within one month. Do not refreeze once defrosted.
Preparation and Usage
Heat pan with a little bit of oil. Place hake skin up in the pan. Place butter on top of each filet portion and fry for 5-8 minutes until fish is cooked. Spoon over any melted butter to serve. Not suitable for microwave cooking. May contain bones.
