Not had these for a few years, as they went wrong! Now theyre yummy again, and such good value for 5.
Chocolate shell split open
Most of the eggs were split open and the filling crystallised inside, making the texture quite unpleasant. Looks like a faulty factory run
Back to the old egg?
This year's egg seems to taste much better than previous and I wonder if they have changed back to the old recipe?
an Easter tradition
I hadnt had a creme egg for ages (as other reviewers have said, they seem to have changed the recipe). I had these as a free gift and must admit that I loved them. Seemed to taste just like I remember. Will buy again once Easter arrives, but I agree about the 5 in a box being a bit odd (which is why I dropped a star).
Addictive for those with a sweet tooth
The chocolate is nice and thick, especially nice if kept in the fridge. The fondant filling is very sweet, which I like. Just a small point, I'm sure there used to be 6 in a box. Now there's 5, or did I dream it!!!
I have to agree with the previous reviewer. The chocolate is back to being really thick and hard to bite into - just how I like it. Whole family is liking them this year. Only had one grainy one recently - which is something to do with the manufacturing process I think?. Glad that has changed as was a regular occurrence - yuk. Thumbs up from us and a second box of 5 on order.
